You have entered the Sight Words Section of "123 Reading Road." In any language there are words that are used over
and over again. These words should be recognized quickly and learned early on in a student's reading career.
Our
Sight Words Section provides activites which will help our Maxson students to learn these most basic words. In this section,
the activities are organized into two areas: Online Activities and Printable Activities. The Online Activities engage our
students with both visual and auditory stimuli provided in the computing environment while providing a fun forum to learn.
The Printable Activities are more traditional ways to help children begin to acquire a sight-word vocabulary. These activities
are designed to be printed and are ideal for both home and school use.
Educational Goals
At the end of the activity, the student should be able to:
1.Recognize the most frequently
used sight words.
2.Understand how to use these sight words in the written word.
3.Show an increased
vocabulary.
